The Ballet Nacional de Cuba, run by the former ABT prima ballerina Alicia Alonso, gives the Bolshoi a run for its money, turning out ebullient, technically immaculate dancers who populate many of the top U.S. companies' rosters. The BNC is rarely seen in the States, but on June 8, its dancers will arrive for four nights of performances—teed up by the prima ballerina assoluta herself, now 90, who'll give an artist talk June 6.
