TUESDAY, MAY 3, 2011 | | Hello Fooboozers! One of our most important jobs here at Foobooz is to keep you up-to-date on the comings and goings of Philly’s best chefs, informed on the state of our best restaurants and in the loop on all the best gossip. One of our other most important jobs? Getting all giggly and obsessive over our own favorite things and, through the magic of the Internet, trying to explain to you why they are the most important things in the world. Thus, this week we have both a single-dish review of the amazing lobster cappuccino at JG Domestic and news about a possible (probable … ) expansion of the Shake Shack into Philadelphia. We’ve got details on Fathom’s take-and-bake clam bake brainstorm (selling fully-loaded pots of clam-baking paraphernalia to home cooks looking for a shortcut), drooled over the new brunch menu at the Corner, talked about the Montreal-style bagels at Spread Bagelry, and hung out with Eric Ripert and Jennifer Carroll at 10 Arts where we ate the best octopus ever (courtesy of his Ripert-ness). Oh, and on top of all that? We also made it to the semi-final round of our Best New Restaurant bracket—which you should check out right now so you can cast your vote. — Jason Sheehan, Food Editor | | | | Best New Restaurant: Final 4 Vote now and make your voice heard.
