At 75, Steve Reich has started a revolution, graduated into the Establishment, and become a father and grandfather figure for a couple of generations of composers and performers. But that doesn't mean he lives on past glories. A birthday concert at Carnegie Hall brings together the Kronos Quartet, Band on a Can All-Stars, eighth blackbird, and So Percussion for a program featuring all recent pieces, including his Pulitzer prize-winning Double Sextet and a new string quartet, WTC 9/11, woven from voices recorded on the day of the attack and its aftermath.
