10 Visionary Female Game Designers

It's no secret that gaming isn't just for guys anymore,
and there are definitely more women in positions of power
throughout the tech industry. However, I wonder how many
of you realize the key role women played in the
development of some of our earliest and favorite video
games. This slideshow of 10 influential female video game
designers could be an eye opener.

and local-to-digital marketing, you should find this
fascinating.

D-day for the Latest Versions of Ubuntu, Slackware, Chakra,
and 8 Other Linux Distributions

The only Linux distro I've ever successfully used is Ubuntu.
It's slick, smart, easy to understand and generally works as
you would expect a good desktop interface to. Now I hear
that it's getting an update, along with a slew of other
Linux platforms (most of them based on Ubuntu). ExtremeTech
explains. Plus, PCMag has a review of the latest Ubuntu
update.

Leaked Windows 8 builds reveal Windows Store and its logo

Microsoft has promised that Windows 8 will run on ARM based
processors, but hasn't said much else about the new OS. That
does not stop people from showing off whatever they've
learned from what people believe is a Windows 8 beta build.
None of this is confirmed by Microsoft, but it is interesting
to read and ponder. Learn more at Geek.com
